Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Precision Livestock Farming at Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Aarhus University, Denmark, with a passion for animals, their well-being and how to improve it by the use of technology.
Formerly employed as a post doctoral researcher at the research group M3-BIORES, KU Leuven, Belgium on a MSCA Individual Fellowship with Prof Tomas Norton as promoter lasting for two years from Jan 2020 until Dec 2021. Focus of the fellowship was training within the research field Precision Livestock Farming with a specific focus on automatic detection of play behaviour in young pigs. The research group M3-BIORES have a high level of expertise within Precision Livestock Farming, thus making them the optimal beneficiary for the fellowship.
Formerly employed at Department of Animal Science, Aarhus University, Denmark for three years as a PhD fellow from Feb 2015 to Jan 2018 and afterwards as a post doctoral researcher from Feb 2018 to Nov 2019. Here I focused on research within applied ethology and animal welfare with a primary focus on tail biting prevention and prediction in finisher pigs.
